Thermal resistivity
This particular type of investigation usually precedes the installation of underground cable ducts, or is applied during the study and design of geothermal wells. Measurements can be taken on site, with the use of a special probe and up to a depth of 120 cm, or, if readings are required from deeper down, in the laboratory, with the use of soil samples drawn during investigative activities; laboratory measurements are obtained using a special probe.
